That's not too far away, but so much can happen in 4 years!  In no particular order....

2. Learn how to kite-surf
3. Watch the launching of a space shuttle (if that happens in the next 4 years)
4. Rescue a dog
5. Have a wedding!
6. Get my pilots license
7. Finish a triathalon
8. Start an organic garden and grow my own kitchen herbs, fruits and veggies
9. Make bread from a memorized recipe
10. Launch my photography website
11. Make Adam cry with happiness (it's too often my tears of joy)
12. Rock climb in New Zealand
13. Learn to play guitar
14. Go Scuba Diving
15. Camp under an Aurora Borealis
16. Open my heart to country music
17. Teach English in a foreign country
18. Paint/draw a series
19. Learn to drive a motorcycle
20. Become a swing dancer
21. Tour S.E. Asia with Adam
22.  Learn to sail
23.  Learn calligraphy
24.  Ride a mechanical bull
25.  Start a masters degree (notice how I say 'start')
26.  Make a habit of writing letters
27.  Do 3 pull-ups
28.  Knit a scarf
29.  Climb a mountain above 10,000 ft. : Mt. Fuji, Mt. Kita & Mt. Yari
30.  Knock out at least half of this list...

Slow Exposures Entry

He guys!! Thanks for the input on all of the photos that I was thinking of submitting for the Slow Exposures Photo Contest.

The results are in and 68 were chosen out of about 700 entries.

And I'm one of them!!! YAY!

Fly Fishin'

Here's the story behind the photo:

A father and son were Fly Fishin' on the Hooch one muggy afternoon after a rain. I decided to take a bike ride along the river with my camera strapped to my back in the hopes of finding some foggy inspiration along the water. I got this photo along with about 10 more of these guys fishin. I continued on my bike ride for a few miles, and on the way back, I saw the two on the path coming off the water. I stopped and told them that I took a few photos of them and would be happy to send them. I got his email address and sent a few his way. His reply was heartfelt and he thanked me graciously for sending. COOL...now it's a winner! Karma?

I have to choose 6 images to submit to Slow Exposure 2010, a photography competition that focuses on images taken in the south. Here are a few that I've been thinking about submitting. Look through these, and help me choose! Take a VOTE! I want to know everyone's top 3. I need to choose pretty soon.

Photo contest

I've been trying to decide which pictures to submit to a local photo competition called Slow Exposures. Here are a few that I'm thinking about. Most of these had to be taken in Pike county or any surrounding counties.

This is an old cracked out house in Williamson, GA, still occupied and kind of spooky. Adam and I scooted here and I ran out in front of the house, snapped a few pics and ran.

A friend of mine is a drummer in the band Last Year Portrait. I went to one of their shows and snapped this cool photo as they took a breather in between songs. The lights shining into the band were brutal, but made for a really cool shot.

This is a dirt road lined with old oak trees that reach out to you as you pass. My mom had an old antique mannequin in the basement and I lugged the thing, all 50 pounds of it, into my car and brought it to this dirt road for a little experiment. I don't know what I think about this picture. a bare mannequin can say a lot or nothing at all. feedback?



Not only do the florals grab you with their sharp and vibrant colors, but also with the realization that the natural world is full of pure beauty and wonder.
