Colorful world

Graphics

I put this flyer together for Melissa on Thursday. Oyster Shuck! Sounds fun. Interesting working with oysters on a poster, but it works...
When I went to save the poster on my computer, I opened my 'Graphic Design' folder and stumbled upon quite a few old edited images. The photo with Da Vinci in the clouds was my first photoshop assignment during my art major days.

In 2008 this crazy colage was thrown together and it reminded me of a music poster.

RV-4

These aerial shots were not taken by me. But I love these photos, and stumbled across them having totally forgotten they were on my computer! This is my Dad! He built this airplane a while back. It's an RV-4, acrobatic two seater. In the first picture, the house in the background is the house I grew up in! So cool!
I'm craving a sunset flight. Inverted.

Dresses

These would make amazing prints. Homemade cards..

1950s

So lets talk about the 1950s. My folks got a new "investment" that was born in the 50s...a '59 'Vette.
It is SO fun...the interior is straight up RED. When I saw it, I felt like we should go immediately to a drive in and get milk shakes. This is a pic of my Mama...with her sweet ride.

I found some fun pics from the 50s.

Berkenation

CHECK it

Alex Berke.
I call her a number of different things:
Beautiful, Berkenation, Berkealert, Berke on Rye, Fantastic
A wonder to behold, her blog : http://portlyn.wordpress.com/
currently picturesque descriptions of her life in Portlyn...Portland, OR. and beyond! The photos frame scenes that are stumbled upon and usually passed by. With her Alexmagic, she has created art out of the everyday. Very cool.
If you are aware of what is around you, life can be a lot more beautiful.

Let your arrow fly

I would glady leave my hiding place
So i'm hoping to be seen.

So let your arrow fly
And see I'm well within your aim

And lay your traps for a thousand miles
And please don't let me escape.

A million perfect snowflakes now
And no two are alike

And so it's hard for me imagining flaws in this design

I know debris, it covers everything
But still I am in love with this life.

Oregon oh Oregon

I heart you

HEY that's the Goonie's rock in the distance!!!!!!!

Such a gorgeous beach. Even on a gloomy day.

We were on the beach, and walked around a cliff wall to find this little inlet, FULL of smooth gray rocks and this amazing formation caught my eye. Frame! Focus! Shoot!

That is one cute snail!!!

Kelly and Elea. We hiked in a few miles to this view!

Those huge trees! All the plants are so healthy and lush! I felt healthier just breathing on this hike. So nice.
Then Elea, Kelly and I had some fresh crab and cod. So yummy.

Then we get back to Portland for the welcoming committee ...Feeling so welcomed, as would anyone who entered their world. Go! Find them! They are a force to be reckoned with!
Yesss!
