Good golly miss Folly
With a Rove full of gear, boats on the roof, our undercover ninja shades, and a humor high, we took to the road, eastbound to Charleston for what would become our week-long best adventure ever.
When we arrived around dusk, we dropped stuff off at his big brothers condo (Thanks Jon) and made our way to the coast, Folly Beach to be exact. Folly beach is located on Folly Island, just outside of Charleston. It is the quintessential beach town...with extra charm.
This is how the Atlantic welcomed us...and my camera. Thank you Folly. Thank you.
This is how we reacted when we got there for sunset!!!!!!!!

MORNING!! AAH...Back to the beach!
Homemade bran muffins (packed by the lovely Mrs. Fillman).. a huge cup of orange mango juice and two hot brews in tow, we ate breakfast ocean-side. We were attempting to paddle the intracoastal waterways that weave in and out of the tall grass just a little inland. It was a bit too windy. But we mapped it out. A great adventure lies ahead for spring...
Check out that PALM baby!
Sand formations...What is more impressive than natural art?!
Over time these gorgeous patterns form. They present themselves with no hesitation along coastlines...I love this natural gallery.
We played on the beach all morning.
Stay tuned: Up next is a recap of the West Ashley bike tour, Charleston stomp, and a paddling adventure through a cypress filled lake that blew our minds. ...Still blowing our minds. Not to mention the Pike County wind-down.
