Cosmic Cards 2011

Over the past few years I've created a collection of cosmic cards for my parents...on birthdays or Christmas.  Today is my Mom's bday (Happy Birthday to the best Mom EVER!)...Here is the latest card in the bunch...and the previous cards that were a blast to make.

Sketchy Fashion

I love sketching...lately I've been trying to put a twist on the human face..make it something unique with a pen and one or two colors.  These sketches give oober inspiration...
I think I googled fashion sketches and stumbled upon these...as well as the amazing illustrator Sandra Suy:

I put this flyer together for Melissa on Thursday. Oyster Shuck! Sounds fun. Interesting working with oysters on a poster, but it works...
When I went to save the poster on my computer, I opened my 'Graphic Design' folder and stumbled upon quite a few old edited images. The photo with Da Vinci in the clouds was my first photoshop assignment during my art major days.

In 2008 this crazy colage was thrown together and it reminded me of a music poster.

Vintage-esque Postcards.

I basically chose a few photos, put them to a cool grainy effect, adjusted colors and color balances..added a dash of digital texture and voila! Check em--
All of these pictures were pretty recent. My personal fave.. Natalie and the yellow leaf face off. Adam's brother Jon in the second. Illinois. Corn Field.
A door handle in Charleston that look way better in this picture than the original. Then my small but delightful collection of coasters from around the world.
Probably more of this to come...

I've been writing a ton of letters lately. To Lackland Air Force Base. Homemade cards would be awesome. I wish I had a printing press.

Cosmic spring!

Doesn't this make you want to sit down at tea time, with a scone or something sweet and delicious to eat, talk about antiques and think of the old days when women wore bonnets...


Super weird and fun. My friend Katie took this pic in college. I cosmically sanctioned it..mainly because Tim's hat is so fantastic.

Spring makes me excited.

Somewhere from the cosmos, a little magic spark takes flight, crosses through the atmospheres, drifts into my realm, into my life, into my room, my plants begin to grow and bloom...spring is springing!

Cosmically Sanctioned Self Portrait, in the moment in the mind.
Representative of the various thoughts floating around in my reality...In my field of flowers, they hover without a destination, without resolve. Just to be...and be thought of.


One of many lone brick chimneys without a home to call their own. These are scattered through South Georgia. Maybe this photo was appropriate for the prior post.
