Sketchy Fashion

I love sketching...lately I've been trying to put a twist on the human face..make it something unique with a pen and one or two colors.  These sketches give oober inspiration...
I think I googled fashion sketches and stumbled upon these...as well as the amazing illustrator Sandra Suy:

Backyard Fantasy

Things I wouldn't mind seeing in my backyard...
I especially love the globes and the mossy forest in this one:
These treehouses are especially awesome.  My Dad built me a treehouse in our small backyard when I was a kid...The tree was growing right through the middle of it.
Thank you Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse you are the prototype...what we all covet...
 Oooh pretty lights.
Aurora Borealis...top 30 list, I will meet you one day.
2 chairs, 2 cups of tea, mumford and sons, husband, sunset...

Christmas Cards!

With so much time on my hands, I decided to use my hands for something productive.
Well, Christmas is almost here...and I love crafty stuff.  So I went to the local hobby lobby, picked up some ink, grabbed the brightest greens and reds, and the most important component Modpodge.
It took a lot of time, but here are the results!

Hiking through fire

The fall weather is so perfect for picture-taking..  I had a good visit with two of my favorites, Alicia and Ella.  We went for a North Georgia mountain hike...in hopes of discovering something new.  Which we did!  James H. 'Sloppy' Floyd State Park...we met up with the Pinhoti trail for a while, found a marble mine, and walked through a forest on fire with color...it was amazing.  Not to mention Ella was also decked out in her fall best.

Marble Mine

Ella almost blended in with the woods

We started hiking under a canopy of yellows, oranges, reds and every few steps we would stop and look up...uuuhmazing.

Aww..family shot.  (I'm Ella's god-mother)

Sunset over the lake before heading back for some bbq, mac n cheese, biscuits n honey at Swallow at the Hollow in Roswell...a successful day back in Georgia...

Music Festival comes to life @

S A S Q U A T C H 2010

Love these pictures! These photos were all on Elea's camera, and it was passed around throughout the festival, so there is no telling who took which pictures. But they are pretty amazing, to say the least.

These people amazed me the entire time. Hilarity! Brilliantly fun!

Reunited and it feeeeels so good.
Vampire Weekend! As the sun sets behind the stage, filling the sky with color, Vampire Weekend filled the air with sweet music. Very fun and engaging! I like their style, A LOT!

It's the crew!!! minus 2. We were a solid 13. Jamming with these guys is a sure win win.

Aaah, soaking in the sun. Listening to the freshest fresh espresso . Bahahaha!!

Do you see this? When we first entered the venue, Melly and I walked over to this stage and Minus the Bear started things off right. But even if the music sucked, there is the Columbia River Gorge behind the stage that draws in any onlooker. Sometimes, I would find myself completely mesmerized by the gorge, missing out on sweet beats. And yet again, another win win.
