A time, a place, a view

I wanted to choose a selection of my photography with a theme, but I just started picking photos that all caught my attention...so here are a few, some of these have been posted before; others may be new and never before seen!
AND I totally dropped the photo of the day trend...let's bring that back, shall we?
St. Thomas, sunset beach, family reunion

Salisbury Cathedral in Wiltshire, England...this old woman was creepin up the aisle, a steady faith

Goonie's Rock!  Oregon coast, 2 friends and a hike through the forests to this view...amazing.

George L. Smith State Park in South Georgia...kayaking with Adam.  The water so still.
A white stucco house had this boat full of cacti in the front courtyard.  Awesome color.

This photo of me was taken by Peter, in Argentina as we made our ascent up Cerro Piltriquitron.

This was a pathway leading down the cliffside to the banks of the Rio Azul at La Confluencia, Argentina.

This was yet another spectacular sunset view at the top of a lookout near our cabin, Argentina.

A Japanese baseball game...and the crowd goes wild.
Photo of the Day

In a London suburb waiting for the train.

A bell and a harsh sun, Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge...last weekend.

Cute Etsy

If you don't love Etsy then you should look a little deeper...This is a wonderful website that takes you on a journey inside of the creative minds with products of creative hands ...dazzling art, crafts, jewelry, clothing, everything imaginable...go see.

Here is (part of) my WiShLisT:

Wall Decals (great for the concrete walls in Japan)

Recycled glass!!  Love this...should learn how to make this at home...

 Wear what you do...cute

One of my bf's Alicia gave me one of these super cute magnets as a Christmas gift...lots of birds and clever one liners...great for decorating a fridge!
Sup?

 Cool art, nature, photography...inspiration!!!

I have no idea what this is...but its so cute.  I would string this across a window above the kitchen sink.  Maybe even clip some dried lavender to the line.

I want these blankets, spread out in a grassy field...(or a white sand beach), with a picnic basket full of treats cuddling with a little puppy and a husband...Too far?  Also a rainbow in the sky would be nice...
Another cute blanket :  From anthropologie:
Cute scarf and cute purse...the Inca and Aztec designs are so timeless..

Bolo Tie!  (So Texas baby)..not exactly on my wishlist because I already bought one!
Made by the hands of none other than Melissa Lynn Chapman, one of my favorite people.  Check out her jewelry, and when you fall in love, buy some!

Ooooh, I want to wear these cozy pants everyday, all the time!

Overall Overhaul

Jubilation, hot dog station, exhaltation...redneck nation!!!  Seriously...many a redneck, A parade with at least 15 tractors and counting.... country folk...camouflaged and youthful escape artists with neon shoes trying to stand out amongst the overall overhauls.
wind chimes and petting zoos..a baby donkey and chickens.  Gray haired guy selling jewelry claiming that magnets will cure arthritis and bodily pain.
No pain yet, but one day, old and wrinkly,  moth balls and cabbage, 45 cats, a rickety front porch and screeching rockin chair, scarin the neighborhood kids, obsessing over evil ways of the world, people will stare from afar...people from thousands of miles away see the WiLd and famous house of COLOR, painted of whimsical walls and mysterious imagery depicting stories of time,  with wiry arthritic fingers holding a house together as paint weighs it down...COME stay at the COLORFUL inn...Inspire, Desire, Retired.

(discovered in an old email sent to Adam one day after attending a fair in S. Georgia)

Hair will grow back

Photo taken in Oregon, of course

I need this hairdo.

I have been trying to decide if I want to cut off all of my hair...Some days I can't wait to just chop (or shave) all of it off!!!  Other days, (good hair days) I think I could never cut off my locks.  Curiosity got the best of me and with my editing skills I cut my own hair....via photoshop.  What do you think?
HAHA!  I can't seem to take it seriously...it is so obviously not my hair...and I won't dye my hair blonde either...but it at least gives me an idea...

I stole the short hair-do from Carey Mulligan who is so cute and definitely pulls it off  ...
but can I?

Strawberry heaven

I would love this, a spoon and a glass of cold milk.
YUM

Indoor dreams

I did a backyard wishlist post the other day of gem-findings on the intaweb of sweet backyard ideas...Well here in Wichita Falls, TX we recently had a blizzard..actually, first there was an ice storm, then there was a blizzard.  So I was stuck in my apartment for 2 days!  Day 1, I tried to venture outside with layers of merino wool and fleece to shield me from the elements...I stepped outside and the breeze was actually a -26 degree gust of frozen air and snow that almost knocked me off my feet...or it was the slippery ice under my feet...either way, I went right back inside.  Day 2, I layered up even more, a total of 6 layers on, no skin was showing at all, the breeze finally died down a bit and I trekked lightly along the ice and snow for 2 1/2 miles to wal-mart...the closest place that was still open.  I bought ice cream (go figure right?)...but I had some serious cabin fever and had to get out of there.  Day 4, I decided to brave the icy roads ignoring the suggestions of every news anchor and weather man on the planet, and drove to the Air Force base to reunite with Adam.

Well now the snow has melted, but I've explored every website or blog full of dreamy, magical, happy and warm things to look at...here is are a few indoor dreams i've come across...

Stay warm people.

We eloped!

A few months back in August, before my trip to Argentina, I came to Wichita Falls, TX for a short visit.  On a Saturday around noon, we went to the Wichita County Courthouse, got a marriage license and got hitched by a female judge, squatty and with a limp, in front of a mural painted with doves and roses, in the back room of a 70s style courthouse down the hall from juvy.  It was epic and took less than 10 minutes.

We know at some point we will have a small ceremony, and I will wear a white dress, flowers will fall from the sky and we will dance; but for now, he is in the Air Force which is unreliable on calendar, and we are newly married, ready and waiting for our 3 year honeymoon in Okinawa.

We just became facebook official, and I suddenly felt the need to address our random marital status change for all the world to see.

The best part of all it...Our life has begun, together, and it's better than I ever could have imagined.  He is all mine, and we couldn't be happier.

A new life

The years of my life
have been roadways of searching,
a climbing of stairs,
a crossing of reefs.
Trains hurled me onwards
waters recalled me,
on the surface of grapes
it seemed that I touched you.

Next to the sea in the autumn,
your laughter must raise
its foamy cascade,
and in the spring, love,
I want your laughter like
the flower I was waiting for,
the blue flower, the rose
of my echoing country.

                   Here I love you.
In the dark pines the wind disentangles itself.
The moon glows like phosphorous on the vagrant waters.
Days, all one kind, go chasing each other.
